The Importance of Mindfulness and Mastery of Self
In today's fast-paced world, achieving true progress often requires us to step back and detach from the problems that might entangle us, such as addiction, challenging relationships, or difficult situations.
When we are caught up in the whirlwind of life, situations unfold naturally, whether we're ready for them or not. The crucial distinction lies in choosing how to address these situations—by reacting impulsively or by responding thoughtfully. This choice stems from the mastery of self, a practice rooted deeply in the concept of mindfulness.
‘True progress comes from separation from the "problem", be it addiction, people, or any other situation.’
TRUSTING THE PROCESS
Things will unfold as they will unfold
It is up to you to choose to react or to respond. Do we add oxigen to the fire or watch it slowly burn out?
The power of responding to a situation, in regards to having a (explosive) reaction, comes though mastery of self. Mindfulness. Yes.. mindfulness. The art of keeping calm.
It is in the clearing of one's mind and the oxigination of our system our nervous system finds calm, and our brains.
- This too goes for the healing process in addiction. As addiction wears off the mind becomes less cloudy, the body then in turn can start its healing process furthermore fortifying body, mind and spirit. Eventually, self worth, self-esteem and self-love will follow.
When panic sets in we apply the same strategies of calming mind, body and spirit.
Practice makes perfect
Just like hitting a gym... you're not Mr. Olympia after an hour of work out. You become stronger by practice and repitition.
The brain works the same. Practice makes perfect.
When taking part in Mindfulness practices we optimalize oxigin levels in our blood and organs including our brains, thusly, we can process significantly better, allowing significant improvements of all critical and logical thinking mechanisms within our brains.
This healing process strengthens not only our bodies, but also brings calm to our hearts, minds and spirits. This in turn allows us to make more conscious and calmly formed decisions and performanceof the goal ahead, often defusion an entirely unnecessary escalation of said initial "situation ".
Its is by consistency and repetition of mindfulness practices in seclusion we form new neurological bridges, which in turn will undo our early onset programming (often brought upon by trauma and fear).
(Now read again from the beginning of this paragraph.)
Embrace the journey of mindfulness, and witness the profound impact it can have on self-mastery and overall well-being.
