Embracing Meditation: A Pathway to Spiritual Growth and enlightenment.
The practice of meditation finds its profound roots within the scriptures, offering guidance and inspiration for our spiritual journey. Several Psalms beautifully encapsulate the essence of meditation, reflecting on divine truths and aligning our lives with God's will.
Through this article I will try and explain how meditation practice is literally changing your physiology to a state of higher enlightenment.
The average person emits 14 to 20 photon by cm² per second. But in the state of meditation, we are able to raise that number to an mind blowing 100 thousand photons per cm².
This is extremely bright. This tells is that when we meditate we emit a huge amount of light.
This is why we call it enlightenment.
Not there yet? No worries, here's more scientific (yet, quite yet fully understood) evidence, to prove and back up my “introductional statement”:
Raising CSF Through Prayer and Meditation
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) plays a critical role in supporting and protecting the brain and spinal cord. Metaphorically CSF can be like an "oil" that interacts with the pineal gland, which is associated with the release of neurotransmitters like serotonin, melatonin and dimethyltryptamine (DMT).
This explanation blends neuroscience with spiritual and metaphysical concepts that are not fully understood by mainstream scientific research.
Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF): The Sacred Fluid of Awakening.
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) plays a critical role in protecting, nourishing, and maintaining the central nervous system.
In both physiological and spiritual perspectives, it is seen as a vital medium for the flow of energy and information between the body and brain. Residing primarily at the base of the spine in the sacrum, CSF has the potential to move upward along the spinal column through focused practices like prayer, meditation, and breathwork.
This upward movement stimulates key areas of the brain—such as the pineal gland and hypothalamus—and can amplify the release of serotonin, melatonin, and possibly DMT, creating a state of inner illumination.
CSF is a clear, nutrient-rich fluid oil-like substance that circulates through the ventricles of the brain and the spinal column. A significant volume of this fluid pools at the base of the spine in the sacrum, a triangular bone at the end of the vertebral column.
Symbolically, this fluid represents dormant energy or potential—akin to the "milk and honey" of divine abundance—waiting to be activated and directed upward.
Spiritual practices can encourage the movement of CSF from the sacrum up the spinal cord to the brain.
This process is thought to stimulate the pineal gland, the hypothalamus, and the surrounding brainstem regions, enhancing the release of serotonin, melatonin, and potentially DMT.
Here's how this process works:
1. Movement of CSF and Spinal Alignment
During deep prayer or meditation, maintaining proper posture (e.g., a straight spine) allows the natural upward flow of CSF.
Gentle movement, such as spinal stretches or rhythmic breathing, can also enhance the circulation of CSF, encouraging its flow toward the brain.
2. Stimulation of the Pineal Gland and Hypothalamus
As CSF moves upward, it reaches the brainstem, a critical area for neural communication, and ultimately bathes the pineal gland and hypothalamus.
The pressure and movement of CSF in these regions may further activate these glands, stimulating the production of serotonin and melatonin, and potentially triggering the release of trace amounts of DMT.
3. Activation Through Meditation and Prayer
Intentional focus on raising energy or fluid up the spine—often visualized as a light or a wave—can amplify the process. This is akin to ancient spiritual practices like Kundalini yoga, where energy is symbolically "awakened" at the base of the spine and guided upward.
Now, let me tie this all together: The physical ánd Spiritual Light.
When serotonin and melatonin are released, they foster a calm, peaceful mind. If DMT is subsequently released, it may catalyze profound spiritual experiences. Together, these processes create a literal and figurative "light" within the brain. This aligns with Yeshua's teachings about being the light of the world, encouraging individuals to embody divine truth and radiate it outward to others.
By committing to practices like prayer and meditation, we harmonize the body, mind, and spirit, activating the "milk and honey" within and awakening the light that connects us to the divine.
The Bible mentions "meditation" numerous times, largely in the context of reflecting on God's word, laws, and works.
This collection of Psalm verses beautifully illustrates the importance and transformative power of biblical meditation. Here's a simple structure, of which i hope, will ties these concepts together:
1. Psalm 1:2 - "But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doth he meditate day and night." This verse highlights the importance of meditating on God’s law continuously.
2. Joshua 1:8 - "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it." Joshua is instructed to meditate on the scriptures for guidance and success. 3. Psalm 19:14 - "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." This emphasizes the desire for one's thoughts and reflections to be pleasing to God.
4. Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." While not using the word "meditate," this verse encourages reflective thinking on virtues.
5. Psalm 63:6 - "When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches." This reflects a personal moment of meditation on God’s presence during the quiet of the night.
6. Psalm 77:12 - "I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings." Here, meditation involves pondering over God’s deeds and wonders.
7. Psalm 119:15 - "I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways." This emphasizes contemplating God’s teachings to align one’s life with God’s ways. 8. Psalm 143:5 - "I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands." The verse reflects on God’s works as a source of inspiration.
These examples illustrate that biblical meditation focuses on deep, thoughtful reflection on divine truths, leading to spiritual growth and a closer relationship with God. Indeed, meditation is seen as a key practice for spiritual growth, understanding, and staying aligned with God's will.
For after all, we are an extension of God, of The Divine, and it is by diving deep into our deepest "self" that find ourselves and allow ourselves to connect.
Answering the call to meditation isn't just an opportunity; it is a journey toward discovering one's calling and living aligned with the divine. Embrace the transformative power of meditation—your spiritual awakening begins the moment you decide.
